WHO, WHEN AND WHERE?
Hinduism is a very difficult religion to claim. Actually, its not in the same sense as a religion, but more of a way of life. It wasn't specifically founded by any person, but a group of people. They founded it out of the Indus and Aryan beliefs, about 4000 B.C. It is the oldest religion, and began in North India.
LEADERSHIP
Leading someone with something as important as religion is a big responsibility. Some of these people who take on this responsibility in Hinduism, are priests, also known as Pandits. They also have someone called a basada. There is also Gandhi. Gandhi was a spiritual person, who helped lead people into Hinduism. He helped lead people out of British rule, using nonviolent resistance. He made it so Hindu's and Muslims could live together in peace.
PLACES OF WORSHIP.
They worship in temples. This is not required though. People come here for festivals, or something special. The priests leads the church, with his helpers. They sing hymns, called bhajans. Or, you could worship from home. They have a decorated shrine, that is the alter or worship. Puja, is what worship at home is called. They place all their offerings somewhere near the shrine. They then do sixteen steps.

Main Beliefs
There is a major belief in the Hinduism religion. This is death and rebirth. Meaning, when you die, if you were what those people considered a good person, because you did good for others and put them before yourself, the you would be reborn. This means you and just reborn onto the world again, which is obviously like a e prize, This is getting them to feel completeness in their lives too. You do this until you reach Brahman. This is when you reach the ultimate goal of all beings, and go with the supreme god. This process is called reincarnation.
GODS
This religion does worship a god. Actually, a couple. There are good and bad gods for balance. Brahman is the main supreme god. Shivia is the destroyer.
SACRED WRITINGS
The Hindus have vedas. This contain spiritual knowledge encompassing all aspects of their life. There are four. There is the Rig Veda, the Sama Veda, Yajur Veda, and Atharva Veda. The Rig Veda is, "The wisdom of the verses." The Sama veda, is the "Wisdom of the Chants." The Yajur Veda is "Wisdom of the Sacrificial Formulas." The Atharva Veda is the " Atharvan Priests."
PRACTICES & FESTIVALS
Food: They loved cows, so they usually eat all meat except for beef. Some though are vegetarians. They love the cow because they believe the cow was a favorite pet of many gods. Gaundhi also worshiped the cow.
They practice something called Garbhadana. This is a prayer for the child before birth. They do Punsavana later, then they do Simantonnyan, which we would probably call a baby shower. Jatakarma is during the birth to welcome the child.
SYMBOLS
They have the Aum Or Om. This means the essence of the universe.
